It is becoming increasingly difficult to get information from Netflix on upcoming streaming titles. I used to be able to get this data from the catalog index, but that information no longer became available when Netflix did index maintenance in November 2009. Since then, I've been trying to find out about upcoming streaming titles by scanning through category lists and hovering over a title name until the tooltip pops up indicating its available formats. Until a few days ago, upcoming titles contained the phrase "streaming coming soon" or a streaming date in the tooltip description, but that description is no longer in the tooltips.
For example, when I pull up comedies and hover over The Ugly Truth, the tooltip pops up listing the formats as "DVD and Blu-ray". But when I go to the Netflix page for The Ugly Truth, it also says "streaming 2/25/2010" under Available Formats. Why isn't this indicated in the tooltips any more?
Does Netflix have any plans to make it easier to find upcoming streaming titles?
