Problem with Our Man Flint...

  1. When I get the title Our Man Flint is says that the format availability for DVD is unknown and then for instant play it is April 30 2009 to June 29 2009 (which is a narrow window). Anyway I would have thought that this means that the title is not available to play instantly and should be added to the instant/saved queue until it becomes available.

    However when I post to:

    http://api.netflix.com/users/**/queues/instant/saved?oauth_consumer_key=**&oauth_signature_method=HMAC-SHA1&oauth_signature=S7ZddlXUnTsqA0XgBx0C98ABu1w%3D&oauth_timestamp=1232562007&oauth_nonce=B63A5B7F-991A-4DC2-B6DA-EE2FA0146944&oauth_token=**&oauth_version=1.0&title_ref=http%3A%2F%2Fapi.netflix.com%2Fusers%2FT1PkJgOvQRMX0hrxYr17CQHy0bs6f8l4Fack43ESUDMts-%2Fqueues%2Finstant%2Favailable%2F1%2F60023450&position=1&etag=904855323&format=instant

It appears instead to put Our Man Flint in the instant/available queue instead:

I'm obviously doing something wrong again, but I can't think what? Any suggestions?

    Thanks, Dave.

This looks like a data error on our side, rather than anything you are doing. I think we probably have the wrong date window on this. The movie is actually available now.. We'll let you know, but looking at your call, it looks fine to me..

Thanks. Out of interest is there a title that is available for instant viewing but not available yet. I can't see to find anything that I can put in the instant/saved queue to check it is working correctly. Thanks, Dave.

I don't think there is a case where you can put something into the instant/saved queue at this time (maybe at some point this will be doable), but generally things fall into the saved state, like if a movie is in your queue, and the availability window ends, that movie will go into the saved queue.
