With over 8 million Netflix users out there today, there is a need for mobile access to "the queue." Netflix seems to agree, so on Wednesday October 1st, they opened their API. The QuickFlix application is the first mobile application to deliver Netflix functionality using this new API.
The QuickFlix application allows you to manage your Netflix account, read movie reviews, get your fix of entertainment/movie news, find local threater schedules, and more, all from your mobile device. Even "click-to-map" theaters in your area with integration into Google Maps.
I'm also interested in building a mobile application. Mostly what I am interested in is an SMS gateway for those of us slumming around without mobile internet access. :) I'm hoping that we might be able to toss around some ideas and come up with something awesome.
